Cadreon Appoints The Trade Desk’s Clay Gill For Lead Role

Following news Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) had poached Cadreon’s former CEO Patrick Darcy this morning, Cadreon has now announced Clay Gill as head of Cadreon Australia.

With 25 years industry experience, Gill joins the IPG Mediabrands-owned Cadreon from his former role as general manager of The Trade Desk Australia & New Zealand.

In his new role, leading a team of more than 100 Cadreon employees nationally, Gill will be responsible for steering the company’s future trajectory, with a focus on accelerating the business’ data & technology capabilities and partnerships.

“Clay brings a wealth of specialised growth experience across the agency and technology landscape,” said IPG Mediabrands CEO APAC Leigh Terry.

“His passion for utilising emerging technology to drive intelligent, effective media execution and his ability to operate as a strong and collaborative leader are exactly the combination of skills we were seeking for this key leadership position in Australia.”

Gill will be taking over Cadreon Australia from Patrick Darcy, who has accepted a new position in the industry and Mediabrands wishes Pat the very best in his new career direction.

“Looking to 2020 we see Cadreon’s skillsets evolving at speed and have great confidence that Clay has the executive skills and vision to drive the business to higher levels of effectiveness and performance,” added Yean Cheong, head of Cadreon APAC.

Clay Gill said; “Cadreon is striving to make the increasingly digitized future a simple, open and inclusive one. It’s a productively challenging environment that I really look forward to joining. I’m excited about the work Cadreon is doing to make brand engagements more meaningful and with the potential to reach a new level of excellence in communications delivery for clients.”

Gill will report to Yean Cheong and his appointment is effective immediately.
