Citadel-MAGNUS has claimed top honours as Australia’s leading transaction communication firm for the fourth consecutive year, based on the latest global and regional league tables released by Mergermarket.
Citadel-MAGNUS ranks 4th in Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan), based on deal volume, in the 2018 financial PR regional tables from Mergermarket.
The team for Citadel-MAGNUS worked on 31 deals during 2018 — up from 28 deals in 2017 — valued at US $15.9 billion (A $22.4 billion) in total, ranking the firm 9th in Asia-Pacific based on deal value.
Highlights during the year included advising Amcor on the $7 billion takeover of US-based Bemis Company, Investa Office Fund on the $3.2 billion takeover by Oxford Properties, CYBG on its $2.9 billion takeover of Virgin Money, Reliance Worldwide buying UK-based John Guest for $1.2 billion and Mitsui’s successful $602 million acquisition of AWE.
Citadel-MAGNUS took to Twitter to celebrate the achievement, saying: “4th place in FY2018 Mergermarket PR Advisor Asia-Pac league tables, with 31 deals, reinforces our position as Australia’s most active transaction communication advisory.
“Also thrilled to achieve a top 20 result on deal value in the US table”.
The Mergermarket league tables examine the performance of Financial PR advisory firms around the world on transactions worth more than US$5 million, ranking firms by the volume and value of deals they have advised on.
