Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has announced the appointment of Chris Ernst as managing director, DAN Queensland.

A results-orientated marketing professional with 15 years’ local and international experience, Ernst joins the group from Media Merchants where he held a commercial director role. Prior to that he held a series of senior leadership positions at Ikon Communications and IPG Mediabrands.

As managing director, DAN QLD, Ernst will be responsible for the commercial growth and integration of the market as well as showcasing DAN’s unique capabilities and offering.

Henry Tajer, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ, said, “Chris is an outstanding commercial operator and team leader, with a proven track record for developing client, employee and stakeholder relationships. He’s the perfect person for this critical leadership role and will take the Queensland business from strength to strength.”

Ernst added, “I’m excited to join such a talented group of people, to develop and showcase DAN’s unique offering in the Queensland market. I can’t wait to get to know the team and our clients, and look forward to working with both to deliver success in the future.”

Ernst assumes the new role from today, Monday 30 September.
