A journalist’s cat has stolen the show after photobombing his owner during a live news report.
British Sky News journalist Sam Coates was reporting from his home on the British prime minister, Boris Johnson’s, ongoing “partygate” scandal when the unnamed feline decided it wanted its owner’s full attention.
The cat’s appearance was called out by presenter Mark Austin back in the studio, who said, “He’s got his cat there with him, I’m very pleased to see that.” Check it out below:

And the surprise cat attack appeared to delight normally bored viewers.
One person tweeting: “More of Sky News Sam Coates’ cat please. And less of Johnson’s lies.”
Another added: “The perils of working from home, Sam Coates trying hard to keep his big floofy white cat out of shot on Sky News.”
Another said: “@SamCoatesSky trying to keep his cat off-screen whilst simultaneously landing a big story is exactly what I need from my news coverage.”
