Carat has marked the start of the silly season in a very civilized fashion, hosting clients and media partners for a spectacular day in the sunshine at Land Rover ‘Polo in the City’, held at Sydney’s Centennial Park over the weekend.

Proving polo is no longer just a royal pursuit, ‘Polo in the City’ is a modern take on the traditional game, bringing all the glamour and excitement of the sport into some of Australia’s best inner-city locations. This is Carat’s second year sponsoring the polo, with the day fast becoming a firm favourite on the event calendar.

With Sydney turning on a perfect day, Carat welcomed ninety-odd of their nearest and dearest clients, media partners and staff for a day of fun, fashion, and fillies in the Carat marquee. Prime sideline positioning meant no-one missed a minute of the action, broken out over two exciting games and capped off with the infamous (and seriously competitive) divot stomp.

Adriana Colaneri, CMO of Carat Australia, had this to say of the sponsorship: “Carat is excited to partner with ‘Polo in the City’ for the second consecutive year, extending our sponsorship in Melbourne to Sydney and Brisbane. The polo is a relaxed day out and a great opportunity to thank our valued clients and media partners for a successful 2016.

“Polo in the City is growing in popularity every year, and our event sponsorship delivers a distinct platform to showcase the Carat brand to a wider, influential audience. It’s also always entertaining to watch colleagues attempt the ceremonial divot stomp.”

The Carat marquee will travel to Brisbane next, before wrapping up at Melbourne’s Polo in the City event on Saturday 26th November.
