Cannings Purple Bolsters Digital Content Team With Trio Of Hires

WPP-owned strategic communications consultancy Cannings Purple has announced three new appointments to its design and digital team.

Simon White (pictured above, middle) has joined Cannings Purple as content editor, Glenn Langridge (pictured above, left) has arrived in the role of digital marketing manager, and Morgan Ballantyne (pictured above, right) is the firm’s new media intelligence and data management specialist.

White, who also has a background in PR, was most recently editor of thewest.com.au, and prior to that, Fairfax’s online news site WAtoday, while Langridge brings previous national agency experience.

Cannings Purple’s director of design and digital, Jamie Wilkinson, said the new appointments would work together to create and distribute engaging content across a variety of digital platforms, including bespoke storytelling for clients and on the agency’s the268.com.au news hub.

“I’m really excited about the way our digital team continues to grow and adapt to new developments,” he said.

“Simon has a strong feel for content that resonates through his experience as an online editor. He will work to increase and enhance the variety of engaging content options we offer to clients, as well as expanding our thought leadership content on The 268.”

Wilkinson said Cannings Purple is seeking to start and shape conversations that matter, and this includes telling stories that matter.

“Telling stories and creating and sharing compelling content is at the heart of everything we do for our clients, which is why it is an important part of the way Cannings Purple operates,” he said.

“We are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to present and distribute content. Glenn, with his specialist skills around integrated digital strategies – including SEO, website structure and social media campaigns – will work to give clients and their content maximum reach and visibility.

“Morgan is also a key addition, who will use media monitoring and data intelligence to deliver insights we can act upon to enhance our offerings to clients.”

The appointments come after Cannings Purple opened a Brisbane office, led by experienced adviser Peta Baldwin, last month.
