The countdown is on. Australian adland’s favourite creativity festival is back for its second edition – and it is bigger and better than ever.
It’s the event Australia’s adland has been waiting for with bated breath (well, we certainly have). The festival where learning and inspiration come head to head with a bit – OK, a lot – of fun.
Australia is at a cultural crossroads right now. Our society is grappling with some pretty pressing issues, from indigenous representation to gender equality. And our industry, as arbiters of taste and changemakers, has a vital role to play in shaping the shift at such an important time.
That’s why we need to take a step back and reassess how we create a meaningful future for the industry, while celebrating creativity and of course, making powerful connections.
Pinterest, as our presenting partners, finds this to be an unmissable gathering for marketers. As an essential hub for creative ideas to take action on, Pinterest is the visual inspiration platform people around the world use to shop products personalised to their taste, find ideas for things to do offline, and discover the most inspiring creators.
Melinda Petrunoff, Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Pinterest says, “Cannes in Cairns is such an ideal fit for Pinterest to sponsor. We’re actively working to cultivate Pinterest as a space that’s firmly about inspiration, which is more important and aligned than ever with the ambitions of marketers who have a powerful role to play in shaping culture, opinion and engagement.
“We look forward to connecting with the industry and individuals at the event for compelling conversations and a line-up of thought-provoking speakers.”
Speaking of thought-provoking speakers – hands at the ready because we’re about to name drop!
We have the boys at Betoota Advocate on board, plus Stan Grant, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM, Jane Caro AM and the Chaser’s Chris Taylor are all in the stellar lineup.

Plus, there will be lots of other panel discussions, fringe events and networking opportunities. Oh, and there will be a boat.
It’s an opportunity to expand our minds, and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.
You will get FOMO if you’re not there – don’t say we didn’t warn you…
