Snapchat Engages Young People With Aussie Politics With New Creative Tools

Snapchat is working with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to help Aussie youth ahead of Election Day.

From the 11th of May, all the way to election day on the 18th, a host of creative tools and features will be available to engage Australian Snapchatters and remind them to vote.

Australian Snapchatters will receive a mass Snap on May 18th encouraging self-expression around election day with supplemental resources from the AEC including who candidate options are, where to vote and more.

They will also have access to creative tools to express themselves as a voter and encourage their closest friends to do the same including bitmoji, lenses, stickers and filters.

Snapchatters will also be able to get polling information via Snap Map utilizing the AEC’s resources.
