Original Ghostbusters Movie Given A Reboot In Whacky New Bank Ad

You have to hand it to the fine folk at UK bank Halifax, when it comes to making fantastic ads it rarely misses a beat.

Its latest incarnation cleverly dubs a pitch for the bank’s new contactless Visa cards over actual footage of the 1984 blockbuster movie Ghostbusters (so may possibly be rather confusing to anyone under the age of about 35!)

One again bank employee “Greg” is the protagonist in the ad who, with some clever editing, manages to seamlessly fit into the film’s trailer and even manages to get himself “slimed”.

The ad’s the work of famed London agency Adam & Eve/DDB and also includes outdoor, social media and in branch iterations featuring the film’s characters, too. Check out the top spot below:
