NEC Launches Inspiring #Get2Tokyo Campaign

Content agency 3rdspace and NEC Australia have teamed up for an exciting new video campaign showcasing the journies of Australian athletes competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Australia-wide #Get2Tokyo campaign features NEC Australia brand ambassadors 800m Australian record holder, Joseph Deng and Paralympic dual gold medalist and six-time Grand Slam champion, Dylan Alcott.

The video content series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to get to the highest level in sport, while also showcasing the work of NEC’s technical support team.

Running for eight weeks, the seven-part video series will feature across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

3rdspace founder Rob Logan said: “With Tokyo just over one year away, we’ve brought to life this powerful partnership through captivating video content you wouldn’t normally expect to see from a tech company.

“Australians love an underdog backstory and both Dylan and Joe have shown that with a hard-working attitude, it is possible to overcome adversity.

“The film series captures Dylan and Joe’s personalities which we know will gain the attention of Aussies who don’t already know about these extraordinary athletes to get on board with NEC Australia and cheer them all the way to Tokyo.”

NEC executive GM of marketing & sales David Borean said: “NEC is dedicated to solving challenging issues through world-class technology solutions which is why NEC Japan, our parent company, as a leading sponsor of Tokyo 2020 will be providing high-end technology for the games.

“We are thrilled to be partnering and supporting Dylan and Joe on their journey to Tokyo as they are incredibly focused on their goals and strive for excellence every day, which reflects how NEC does business.

“We’ve been working very closely with 3rdspace to develop a creative and digital campaign that shows our support and we are thrilled with the end result.”
