Kids, High-Viz & A Fair Go! Liberals Unveils Remarkably Similar Election Ad To Labor

the Liberal party has released its first campaign ad, “My vision for Australia”, and it’s remarkably similar to Labor’s first ad, which was unveiled Tuesday.

Family scenes, high-vis vests, hospitals, fresh produce shots … if you’re experiencing déjà vu, it might be because we’ve seen it before.

Labor released its first campaign on Tuesday, alongside a smear video that blasted the government for using taxpayer money to fund its ads.

The campaign showed footage of opposition leader Bill Shorten’s family, as well as the leader alongside hospitals patients, chatting with schoolchildren and visiting job sites.

The Liberal party’s first campaign likewise had a heavy focus on family, with shots of the PM also visiting job sites and chatting with young children.

Both parties have also begun rolling out ads on social media, yet have agreed there will be no advertising over Easter.

Along with the release of the Liberal’s ad, an election date has been called for May 18.
