The federal election’s not even been called (rumoured to be either the 18th of 25th of May) but already the two major parties are openly sparring over the huge cost of funding their election advertising. Undoubtedly, the big bucks are music to the ears of agencies and the telly networks, less so for the sucker taxpayer that has to pick-up the mega-million dollar tab.
Only this morning the Labor party accused the government of already spending a $1 million on a day on advertising.
