Burger King Bans Customers, Has A Swipe At Macca’s In Latest Lunacy

Burger King Bans Customers, Has A Swipe At Macca’s In Latest Lunacy

In further proof it’s arguably the cleverest advertiser on the planet at the moment, Burger King has unveiled a new campaign that not only puts the boot neatly into its arch-rival McDonald’s, but its misinformed customers, too.

The two spots, out of the UK, show Burger King customers being banished from restaurants for mistakenly ordering a cheese burger.

The global burger chain’s signature item is, of course, its famed Whopper, while the cheese burger is something you’d find on Macca’s menu.

Called “Go on, say it”, the campaign’s the work of Burger King’s new UK creative team, London’s Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Check out the fun below:

However, the campaign does bear a few similarities to Pepsi’s Super Bowl ad from late January.

The glorious spot, starring none other than renowned funny man Steve Carrell, played on customers asking for a Coke and then being asked, “Is Pepsi, ok?” Re-live one of 2019’s best ads below:
