Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has launched a state-wide public awareness campaign spearheaded by a series of TVCs encouraging Queenslanders to think about the importance of safety in the workplace.
The campaign is running via TV, digital, radio, POS, social and is supported by targeted promotions during Safe Work Month in October.
Engine managing director, Tim Weger said, “The campaign aims to celebrate the things or people that are most important in our non-working lives in an emotionally impactful manner”.
The brief was clear in that the campaign needed to evolve previous ‘Homecomings’ campaigns.
“Our challenge was to find a fresh way to initiate the ‘workplace safety’ conversation that moved away from the inherent fear and sadness of past campaigns”.
Music was considered a key requirement in delivering the right tone for this safety message. Engine worked with local artists to re-record Bob Evans’ track, Nowhere without you, from his Suburban songbook album.
“The campaign tone is uplifting, motivating and relatable for the broad audience”.
The essence of the campaign is beautifully delivered by the “Work safe for the moments that matter” campaign theme.
