Campaign: BestOdds Promotes New iPhone App

Odds comparison site BestOdds, described as the Webjet of betting, has launched a campaign to promote its new iPhone app.

A TVC will air during Channel 7’s AFL and Racing coverage from Friday.


The app allows punters to compare the odds of major Australian bookmakers in real time and find the best price. The TVC aims to educate punters that they can get better prices and better prices means more winnings.

“Many punters simply take the odds on offer with their favourite bookmaker” says Heath Kilgour, Marketing Director of Punters.com.au, the company that produced the app, “We’ve consistently found that punters can get 43% more winnings by shopping around”.

Pricing comparison services have changed consumer behaviour for many industries. “People becoming more price sensitive is a natural extension of the online sports betting industry maturing” .

Punters.com.au began advertising on TVN, but has extended its media spend to included free-to-air. “We see BestOdds as a broad offering with interested of all sporting fans that like to punt beyond everyday racing fans. We believe that channel 7 can deliver us the mass market reach via AFL and racing coverage”.
