The Cairns Crocodiles Awards probably the greatest awards show the Asia-Pacific region has ever seen, and 2025 promises to be an even greater festival of outstanding creative work.
The awards showcase game-changing campaigns in categories including Effectiveness, Design, Film Craft and so much more with every sector of the industry covered.
In its inaugural year, some of the best and brightest digital campaigns picked up crocs against fierce competition. Here is a rundown of the winners and grinners in the Cairns Crocodiles digital categories.
Data-Driven Creativity
Thinkerbell picked up another Gold for its “Brewery Duty” campaign for Lion. It flipped the idea of jury duty on its head, by using data to enlist regular Aussies to join a beer-tasting panel.
One judge said it was “unique, creative and built on strong consumer insight” as well as being a campaign that “impacts the full product chain at Lion” and delivered “outstanding results.”

Digital Craft
VML Ogilvy Japan showed it was more than a one trick pony by picking up another Gold Crocodile, in collaboration with Studio X.
Forget the Coca-Cola truck in real life (or its new Gen AI cousin), in Japan the soft drink giant brought Christmas cheer into the modern age with an eye catching drone show that was unmissable.
Our judges said the execution was “brilliant” and the concept “beautiful”; we think it’s next level.

Social and Influencer
Ogilvy Singapore left Cairns with another Gold Crocodile for its ‘Skins for Skin’ campaign for Vaseline Thailand.
The campaign perfectly leveraged the reach and engagement that only the best social campaigns can by marrying a popular video game with smart packaging.
“Great audience targeting and use of multiple channels, including packaging, contribute to a very successful clever campaign,” said one judge.
