Burger King’s ‘Out Of Office’ Stunt Surprises Receivers With Free Whoppers

Burger King in Belgium has come up with a nifty plan for people toiling away in the office while colleagues are on their (northern hemisphere) summer holidays – a free burger.

Sadly, however, the promo ran for just a single day and that was last Monday.

All users had to do was create an ‘out of office’ reply on their work computers using Burger King software. When someone emailed them, instead of getting the typical tedious “I’m presently on holidays ’til…” message, they got a free voucher for a Burger King Whopper.

The campaign’s the work of Parisian agency Buzzman who, it has to be said, is doing some exceptional stuff at the moment and not just for the burger franchise through Europe.

Check out the accompanying TVC below, however, be warned, it is in French, as B&T couldn’t find an English translation version.
