Comms Agency Torstar To Handle Aussie Launch of Merchant Footwear

Brand communication agency Torstar has been appointed by New Zealand footwear retailer Merchant 1948 to launch the label in Australia.

The appointment will see the agency responsible for Merchant 1948’s media communications strategy.

“We’re proud to be joining forces with the talented team at Torstar to further our steps into the Australian market – sharing Merchant 1948’s quality, heritage and style with an exciting new audience,” says Shane Anselmi, managing director, Merchant 1948.

Still a family owned business, they’re now one of the premium fashion footwear retailers in Australasia – combining quality with both the latest trends and timeless style. The company has 60 retail stores throughout Australia and New Zealand; trading under Merchant 1948, Overland and Mi Piaci – sourcing fashion footwear from around the globe. There are six Merchant 1948 stores in Melbourne and a dedicated e-commerce site.
