“Don’t Play Ball In The House!” The Brady Bunch Reforms For TV Reno Show

Even if you didn’t grow up in the 70s, you’d probably still remember the TV sitcom The Brady Bunch – the most saccharine-sweet white family ever to grace the small screen.

And masterfully, US pay TV home renovation show HGTV has assembled the surviving cast members to rebuild the original Brady home – arguably one of TV’s most instantly recognisable decors.

The six kids remain alive, but sadly dad Mike (Robert Reed), mum Carol (Florence Henderson) and housekeeper Alice (Ann B. Davis) have all since passed away.

In the original show, the outside of the house was an actual property in suburban California, while the inside was design-built in a Hollywood studio for filming.

HGTV has purchased the original property for $US3.5 million ($A5.1) and intends to rebuild the TV house inside the original. No mean feat, given the actual house was single storey, while the TV house had the famed staircase and was two storeys (bet you never spotted that mistake?)

Anyway, get set to reminisce and feel rather old in the trailer for the upcoming episode below:
