Bill Murray Revises Groundhog Day Character (Again) In Glorious Coronavirus Ad From Jeep

Bill Murray has revised his Phil Connors character from Groundhog Day in Jeep’s latest ad and if it looks familiar, that’s because it is.

The new spot reuses footage from JKeeps’ Super Bowl Jeep Gladiator commercial that aired earlier this year.

However this time, the footage has been tweaked to tap into the current COVID-19 climate and the reality that all of our days feel like they’re on repeat at the moment.

Jeep’s message: we need to stay home now, but we will be able to have fun again.

The short spot starts says, “We understand that every day is starting to feel the same. Stay home. Stay healthy. When this is over the trails will be waiting.”
