An ad for Belgian coffee maker Douwe Egbert’s has gone viral on social media for its adorable LGBTQI+ theme.
The 40 second spot by BBDO Belgium and entitled “Something to Share” features two teens in the middle of a make-out session when one of the girl’s dad comes home early and catches them.
The dad then sends her a text with the coffee emoji and a question mark, and over a cup of Douwe Egberts, the daughter opens up to her father about her relationship.
“Coffee is at the heart of life. It is with us at the big moments and the small,” the company’s motto on its website reads.
“Jacobs Douwe Egberts celebrates life beyond the beverage, putting the coffee cup at the centre of the conversation, wherever in the world it takes place.”
The ad currently has over 12 million views on Twitter, with users proclaiming they are “in tears” over it.
