BBS Communications Group Expands Team For 2017

Veteran independent communications consultancy BBS Communications is starting 2017 with a raft of new appointments, including the promotion of Rachael Maundrell to Associate.

Other new appointments include senior consultant Carrie Anderson who comes to BBS with professional services sector experience in Melbourne, plus Consultants Cassie Charlish and Oliver Lane-Porter, who all started with the firm just before Christmas. Ruby Tyler also joins BBS as PR Assistant / Receptionist and will be responsible for keeping the ship running from the front desk.

BBS executive chairman Jane Edwards said the appointment of Rachael Maundrell to associate was in recognition of Rachael’s exceptional commitment to the business and to her clients over more than 7 years with the firm.

“Rachael joined BBS in 2009 and throughout her time at with us her commitment, strong work ethic and focus on exceptional client service have been unwavering,” Jane said.

“We are really fortunate to have someone of Rachael’s calibre in a senior leadership position as the firm looks forward to another strong year.

“Rachael will continue to service her portfolio of clients across various sectors, including property, retirement and aged care, while managing junior staff and taking a greater role in the strategic direction the business.

“She is a great leader and role model for her colleagues, and her experience in community engagement and reputation management is a great asset to the business.

Jane Edwards said the appointments were a deliberate move by the firm as it looked to strengthen its skills set across key service areas.

“We are aligning our skill set with what the market is looking for and we are continuing with a program of new hires but also organic growth of the skills within our existing team.”

She said, “The new resources and additional skills will allow us to make the most of new opportunities and relationships that will believe will continue to present themselves to us this year.”
