Bauer’s Fiona Legdin Heads For The Exits After Just Eight Months

Bauer Media’s Fiona Legdin is set to depart the publisher after just eight months, quitting her role as general manager of fashion, beauty and health.

In an internal memo to Bauer staff, brand new CEO Paul Dykzeul said Legdin was “leaving to pursue other interests”.

Prior to joining Bauer, Legdin was group publisher at Pacific Magazines and has more than 20 years’ publishing experience with brands such as InStyle and Who. Before that, she worked at ACP Magazines (now Bauer Media) for 15 years in editorial, marketing and advertising roles.

The news follows on from two other high profile Bauer departures over recent weeks, including CEO Nick Chan and Women’s Weekly editor Kim Doherty.

Dykzeul’s email to staff read in full:

I would like to inform you that Fiona Legdin, General Manager, Fashion, Beauty & Health, will be leaving Bauer to pursue other opportunities.

Since joining the business in 2016 Fiona has done a terrific job in transitioning the portfolio to the category structure. She has passionately lead the Hearst brands with innovative first to market executions and more recently the re-launch of Cosmopolitan under new editorship.

I want to thank Fiona for all her hard work and dedication and wish her all the very best in her future endeavours.
