Bastion Collective Continues Acquisition Spree

Independent marketing and communications group Bastion Collective has announced its acquisition of Sydney-based market and social research company Stable Research.

The company delivers people to market research discussion groups, communities and surveys. It also scripts and screens in-house for projects of all shapes and sizes.

Stable’s clients include major corporations, research agencies and government at all levels, as well as usability agencies.

The company has been owned by Karen Johnston and Pip Hooper for the last 15 years, and during this period, Stable has grown tenfold and gained award-winning recognition for its success.

Hooper said the centralising of Stable’s administration functions under Bastion Collective will allow her and Johnston to focus on opportunities in new technology and products.

“We are thrilled about the opportunities that the collective will provide for both our staff and our clients. It’s the perfect next stage in the evolution of the Stable brand,” she said.

Johntson added: “We are really excited about the innovation opportunities that working with the Bastion Collective group will bring to our business.

“As the first step in this journey, we have worked with creative agency Bastion State to redefine our brand identity. Our new look has given the team new energy and focus, and our clients love it.”

Bastion Collective’s Australian CEO, Jack Watts (main photo), said he was excited about the future that Stable can help create for the group.

“For a long time, we have been looking for access to a relevant, nimble and insightful data solution that allows all our businesses to provide a deeper level of service to our clients,” he said.

“Stable Research is this solution and have access to an incredible amount of data across a range of industries. They will be a fantastic asset to our business, our staff and our clients”.

Stable is the third acquisition in under the past four weeks, having purchased a majority state in creative agency Banjo and production firm Bengar Films.
