YouTube channel AwesomenessTV is expanding the company’s licensing and consumer products business to Australia.
This new division will create, explore and assess the growing number of retail opportunities afforded to online video talent in command of large social audiences. The Australian arm of the business will be led by AwesomenessTV, head of licensing, Asia Pacific, Jo Pascoe and supported by local promotional visits by key talent.
The Australian licensing and consumer products division will initially work with top-tier talent that resonate highly with audiences in Australia. Talent includes Australia’s very own Alli Simpson, Tyler Oakley and Ingrid Nilson. The talent will support the consumer products and licensing business in Australia with on-the-ground promotional visits.
“AwesomenessTV connects with millions of audiences,” said Pascoe. “We are excited about the opportunities to work with Australian brands, suppliers and retailers to continue to connect with large social audiences across the country.”
Twitter has just experienced its fastest growth in revenue since 2014, with the social media platform benefiting from increased interest from advertisers.
