I am a communications professional with 15 years experience working in journalism and public relations for leading newspapers, magazines and agencies in the UK, Middle East and Australia.Prior to founding TAG PR I headed up Publishers Australia, the peak body representing the magazine publishing industry and curated the inaugural Publish conference and managed the Excellence Awards which recognises outstanding achievements in the consumer, custom and B2B publishing industries.I previously worked as communications director at independent Sydney advertising agency The Works, helping to raise the profile and perception of the agency, in addition to working with other agencies in the marketing communications space.With a background in journalism, I was associate publisher and editor of leading advertising, marketing and media title, B&T, for more than five years with responsibilities for managing online and print editions, education, events and the annual awards. Before moving to Australia in 2007 I worked as launch news editor and then editor of marketing and advertising magazine Campaign Middle East based in Dubai.I started my career at London’s largest news press agency before moving onto UK national daily newspapers.I regularly moderate at industry conferences and also judges the CommsCon, Mumbrella and B&T Awards every year.
