I’ve always looked for challenging and interesting projects, particularly ones that involve setting up something new. Most recently, that was the launch of a multi-million dollar audience measurement system. I saw it through from the very beginning to launch, as the technical person in the go-to-market team. That involved strong technical, project and stakeholder management skills. Another key skill set is creating marketing insights from data. I can interpret data with an understanding of the way it was collected and communicate it in a way that is relevant and meaningful. I'm a firm believer in the need for a narrative, and that it's not an insight if the audience is left thinking 'so what?'. A selection of articles, infographics and videos from my team and me are publicly accessible on the web at www.thenewspaperworks.com.au/audience-insights/ I like to look for ways to do things better. Having the right structures and processes in place helps you focus on the right things at the right time, and get more done with less stress. I’ve taken a lot from the principles of Agile Project Management and I’m a fan of online collaboration tools. I'm relocating back to the UK with my family in early July 2014 and am looking for a role where I can apply my skills to a new purpose. That could be for an organisation near our home in Cheshire or working remotely for an organisation in or near London.
