I am a strategic thinker. I believe in the importance of rigour, the value of insight, and the power of bold ideas in creating and shaping all forms of marketing and innovation to solve business puzzles. My professional life started in the cut and thrust of London's media industry as a strategic planner working on brands such as Marks and Spencer, Direct Line Insurance, Tourism New Zealand, IPC Media, Tourism USA and KFC. In 2004 I moved to Sydney with my family, became an Australian, and have never looked back. I made the switch to the creative side of the communications business as a strategic planner. I have deep experience across brand positioning, consumer research, advertising, digital and social marketing working on brands such as Volkswagen, Subaru, Tourism Australia, Playstation,Telstra, Expedia and Westpac. The combination in my unique background of media strategy and brand strategy has given me perspective on all parts of the communication business and a resolute belief that 'a problem well understood is a problem half solved'. Life at DDB is a whirl of challenges as we investigate business problems, understand modern consumer behaviour and use our creativity and experience to engage them.
