Mick O'Brien

Mick O’Brien has been a pioneer and thought leader in the Australian digital media landscape since 1997, where he was one of the first to launch third party rich media ad serving across Asia. Mick is a new media entrepreneur with a proven track record in being able to identify market-leading technologies whilst building the right strategic relationships with advertisers, agencies, publishers and technology vendors spanning the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region. Initially as a reseller, Mick was the founding member of the eyeblaster business in 2002. Joining the company in 2006, Mick established a number offices and partnerships throughout South East Asia, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India. In 2009 Mick was promoted to the role of VP Sales & Client Services North America, MediaMind Inc. Mick managed a team of 50+ people and grew annual revenue 35% to $30m. Mick was instrumental implementing agency group contracts and played a key role in MediaMind’s successful listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange (MDMD) and subsequent sale to DG (DGIT) for $414m. Mick has developed strong skills in areas such as team building, sales training, customer retention, revenue forecasting and reporting, budget planning and contract negotiations.
