After graduating with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, the lure of an alternative career in the world of advertising – with the bright lights, the big city, the jollies, and spending lunchtime not hunched over a packed lunch but in fine dining restaurants was more of a natural fit!
The early years were spent in London learning the ropes on a mix of Clients – Whiskas catfood, the UK postal service and The Evening Standard and Daily Mail. This followed with a move to PHD to head up The Guardian & The Observer newspapers.
Then the recession hit, and it was time for a break, so a year was spent travelling with a mate through India and Asia, ending up on these green and gold shores. Fully rested, it was time to re-engage the brain and get a proper job again…
Over 10 years later, and after stints on Sony and then Lion, I landed at Ikon where I continued my time in the world of alcohol with DIAGEO, but also helping to try and solve other Clients problems & puzzles, and fuelling the overall Ikon strategic product.
Most weekends you’ll find me on the golf course - a frustrating game I love and hate! (the golfers amongst you will understand)
