I am an HR enthusiast! I believe a good HR department can not only develop and retain staff, it is a necessary component for any growing business to stay compliant. A good HR person can motivate existing staff, execute an awesome culture and communicate this both internally and externally. Having the right HR person on your team will reduce costs which provide a tangible ROI and encourage new talent to join your business. Imagine a business with happy, motivated staff, awesome talent approaching you, managers who feel confident in their ability and leaders who lead their teams. I believe all this results in increased revenue, both from sales and from the bottom line. HR does ROCK! My other passion is educating those entering the workforce for the first time, CV writing, interview preparation, how to interview and how to search/ follow up roles in a digital world. It should almost be a subject or module taught in schools. Well- this is my goal! With a background in starting up and running Recruitment and HR companies both in the UK and Australia coupled with an ongoing passion for all things HR, my hope is to take the ARGHHHH out of HR and put the AHHHH back in :-)
