Alison is a highly motivated Communications graduate with an impressive double major in Public Relations and Journalism from The University of Newcastle; one of the worlds leading tertiary education institutions. Throughout her degree she undertook a diverse range of voluntary internships in the Public relations and communications industry where she refined her skills and gained a much deeper, more practical understanding of the industry to complement her academic study. These included both in-house as well as agency PR roles, not for profit organisations and regional newspapers. Alison's ability to successfully manage these internships on top of her full time study highlights her time-management skills along with her competence of prioritising tasks and working under pressure to always meet any deadline; strengths necessary for the fast paced, erratic PR industry. Alison is passionate about successfully building a career in the PR industry which is evident through the variety of internships she has completed. She is always keen to learn new things about the ever-changing and developing industry that is public relations and is constantly on the look out for any opportunities to strengthen and add to her expertise. Although Alison is excited to work in any public relations related role, in particular she would love to work in a travel, consumer and lifestyle or customer service and events related role either in an in-house position or with an agency.
