I have 14 years professional communications experience. With University Majors in Writing and Media Production, I began my career as a Journalist. After three years I transitioned into marketing and have since held a number of senior corporate communications roles. I have experienced communications in a hands-on capacity at the front line in the media, as well as in management as an Editor. My corporate communications roles have engrained in me the importance of taking a holistic view of communications, internal, external and via multiple channels, in order to cultivate engaged communities. I have worked both client side and within an agency environment, so I know how to get the best out of partnering organisations. My multi-tiered marketing experience extends right throughout the supply chain, from supplier to channel partner, and as a consequence I understand the value of a segmented media strategy. Much of my personal Blog (Commspro.me) is dedicated to this. To this end I have outstanding relationships with a host of thought-shapers in the media and analyst community in the Asia Pacific. I founded ASCommunications (an independent consultancy) and am a Director at Spectrum Group, owned by IPMG.
