Australia’s Youngest Casting Agency Chicken & Chips Has Launched

Entertainment collective, Alison Fowler (26 years old) and Stephanie Pringle (27 years old), announced the official launch of their casting agency, Chicken & Chips. The casting agency was born after Fowler (the chicken) and Pringle (the chips) realised they were seeing the same faces on TV day after day.

“What makes Chicken & Chips different is the passion and excitement we have for this industry,” said Pringle.

“We are genuinely in love with what we do and that will come out through our work. Chicken & Chips is all about discovering new talent and putting forward some options that might make directors and producers think outside the square.”

The team also believe the casting industry is yet to tap in to the potential of creative digital projects.

“It’s a huge part of the future of the Australian entertainment industry and we’re excited to do our part in taking it to the next level,” said Fowler.

“We can see that there are a lot of younger, up and coming directors interested in what’s possible online and are all for supporting them however we can.”

“I’ve worked on many projects over the years that have not had a budget – supporting actors, directors and producers in their creative works is really important to us,” said Pringle.

Fowler and Pringle met at a casting agency two years ago after varied careers across the advertising and entertainment industry.  A former actress, Fowler began her career in advertising with Ogilvy & Mather working on accounts including KFC, St George Bank and Telstra. No stranger to a TVC casting brief or audition, Fowler stepped into casting two years ago. Pringle began her career in Melbourne in 2007 as a Producer’s Assistant on feature film ‘Prey’ before moving into the casting world in 2009.
