M&C Saatchi’s Jackson Elliott and William Campion have won gold at Young Lions for their campaign idea “#Unstereotype!”

Young Lions is of course an incredible competitive and creative competition that gets the worlds best creatives to go head to head to come up with the best ideas and strategies! And yes, some Aussies took out the top spot! Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi!

In a fabulous turn of events, Elliot and Campion’s genius idea of creating more realistic bodies in video games took out top prize. I believe in the sporting world that would be called a winning strike!

The idea stems from the fact that video game characters are often over-sexualised and have unrealistic bodies which perpetuates unrealistic beauty standards. Their vision is to create bespoke avatars so female and male gamers can create characters that actually look like them!

Commenting on the win, M&C Saatchi’s chief creative officer Cam Blackley, said: “Whilst we are wrapped for the guys, it was never in doubt to Mandie, Avish or myself. They are uncommon talent and enthusiasm personified.”

If that wasn’t enough for us to gloat about down under!

Cindy Tan and Lauren Maxwell from Google also won gold in marketing! For their clever, “Map Your Mo,” campaign.

The campaign would allow for people to participate in Mo-vember by exercising everyday and their google Maps would slowly create a Mo to recognise their efforts – incredible!

Here at B&T we just love to see our Aussie creatives get the international attention and praise they deserve.
