Triple M is set to bring Rio live to its listeners through the DAB+ digital radio channel – ‘7 Rio Live’ and across the day on its FM Network – and it’s bringing legends Roy Slaven and H.G Nelson back for the ride.
Coverage of the Games will get listeners all the important updates, but will also include a daily show, ‘The Mardi Gras of Medals’ on Triple M from Australia’s ‘sporting heroes’ Roy Slaven & HG Nelson.
These sporting icons will be covering the festivities for the duration of the Games, from 12-1pm Monday to Friday, with HG officially dubbing himself as “Triple M’s senior boxing correspondent.”
Triple M is the official FM radio network of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, thanks to a partnership with the Seven Network, and from Saturday August 6 through to Monday August 22, ‘7 Rio Live’ will capture the excitement, emotion and energy from Rio.
Listeners will be able to select 7 Rio Live on their DAB+ Radio, or via Classic Rock Digital and Modern Rock Digital (Adelaide only) including websites and apps, from 5:30am to 1pm AEST each day.
The ‘The Mardi Gras of Medals’ Podcast will be available each day on Triplem.com.au and via the Triple M app.
