Audi’s Super Bowl Ad Labelled Sexist… Against Males

Audi has tried to send the positive message of equality between men and women in its latest commercial which featured during yesterday’s Super Bowl, only to be shut down by YouTubers.

The ad, titled ‘Daughters’, depicts the story of a young girl competing in a downhill cart race in her hometown.

As the fearless daughter weaves her way through a field of competitors, her father contemplates whether his daughter’s worth will be measured by her gender through a series of provocative questions, driving home the message that progress is for everyone.

However, the ad received a frosty reception on YouTube, with 10,000 more dislikes than likes at last count.

Some YouTubers labelled the ad propaganda and claimed the wage gap between men and women was a myth.

“The thing I find crazy is this whole commercial is based off a lie. Women don’t make less than men. Total propaganda,” one user wrote.

“You could tell your daughter the truth. The wage gap is a myth,” another commented.

Other YouTubers said the ad had put them off buying an Audi.

“This commercial helped me decide not to buy an Audi,” one user wrote.

“Well, now I know which won’t be my future car, you made the decision easy,” another said.
