World number one tennis player, Australia’s Ashleigh Barty, is fronting the latest iteration of Vegemite ‘s ‘Tastes like Australia’ advertisement.

“As an Aussie girl who has grown up eating Vegemite, I feel very lucky to work with Australia’s most iconic brand. A big thank you to the Vegemite family who have been a huge support to me over the last few years, there is nothing better than hearing the Barty Army in the crowd when I’m playing!” said Barty.

Vegemite is proud to be supporting Barty, with senior marketing manager Matt Gray adding: “Ash is an extraordinary ambassador, and we are proud to support her as she embarks on her 2020 season.”

This advertisement is the next iteration of the Tastes Like Australia campaign that commenced in August 2018. The introduction of ‘Tastes Like Australia’ was the first new advertisement for Vegemite in six years.

In October, Vegemite introduced limited-edition BARTYMITE jars. If you’re a Barty fan, and you haven’t had the opportunity to pick one up just yet, we recommend that you head into a retailer near you to locate a BARTYMITE jar before they leave the shelves.

Following requests from Barty fans, Vegemite has introduced ‘BARTY’ t-shirts, which are available for purchase via the Vegemite online store.

Barty will wear the iconic Vegemite patch throughout the Australian summer tennis season.
