Arnott’s Teases BBQ Shapes-Flavoured Ramen Noodles & The Internet Has Quite Rightly Exploded!

As anyone who’s indulged in a box of Arnott’s irresistible Shapes range can confirm, there’s more salt in a box to stop a race horse’s heart.

But what could be even saltier than a box of Shapes? How about Shapes-flavoured Ramen Noodle Soup!

The internet has been abuzz with speculation that our tastebuds could be awarded such a thing after Arnott’s posted an image of the product to its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

“A world of flavour in only 2 minutes? Shapes Barbecue Ramen will have you wanting oodles of noodles,” the post boasted.

But not to kibosh the genius idea before it’s even off the ground, eagle-eyed viewers of the post also noted it came with the unfortunate hashtag #SorryNotARealProduct, which suggests the entire thing is possibly one cruel prank.

B&T has reached out to Arnott’s for confirmation, but had not received a reply prior to publication.

However, social media reaction to the idea seemed genuinely positive.

“I definitely want,” posted one fan. “Please, let this be real,” said another. “If only this were true,” posted another alongside a teary emoji.

“Please tell me this is a ploy to suss out our reactions?!! Because this HAS to be a thing, now you’ve broken our hearts!!” wrote one.

Another added: “This would actually go pretty well with all the flavours. Maybe a 2022 project to embark on, Arnotts?”

While others thought the whole thing was a prank. “A bit early for April fools?!?” posted one sceptic.

While another was all the more cryptic: “I can’t eat noodles but I feel like these would slap!”

Not that the idea is particularly new. Back in 2018, Pringles launched its own Ramen range in noodle-loving Japan. Sadly, it was discontinued shortly after enjoying limited success.
