ARN Rebrands Brissie & Adelaide Stations, Forms KIIS Network

The Australian Radio Network (ARN) has announced the rebrand of Brisbane’s 97.3FM and Adelaide’s Mix102.3 and the formation of the KIIS Network.

In 2014, ARN successfully launched KIIS 1065 in Sydney and has been the dominant radio network this year, maintaining Australia’s coveted #1FM radio network position*. Today’s announcement further cements ARN’s market leading position as it presents a fresh new look for its Adelaide and Brisbane stations under the KIIS network umbrella.

This follows last week’s announcement that its Melbourne station will rebrand to KIIS 101.1 from January 19, 2015, with all four station’s brand identities now adopting the signature “KIIS lips”.

Capitalising on the momentum of 2014, the consolidation of a simplified KIIS Network delivers ARN advertisers a streamlined proposition.

“It was imperative to retain the strong heritage of both 97.3FM and Mix 102.3,” said ARN national content director Duncan Campbell. “They are both highly successful #1FM stations and this rebrand is an evolution of the “Get Happy” marketing campaign launched in January this year. The essence of the Brisbane and Adelaide stations, including their music and high performing breakfast teams, will remain unchanged.”

ARN chief executive Ciaran Davis added: “The refreshed brand identity of Brisbane’s 97.3FM and Adelaide’s Mix102.3 coupled with the success of Sydney’s KIIS 1065 and upcoming launch of Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1 puts ARN in a powerful position to offer clients an even more compelling and fully integrated national campaign offering, across on-air and online, wherever our listeners are.”

“ARN has had a dedicated strategy – to build great stations, and deliver the best radio talent and content nationally – and the recent announcements of the national drive show with Hughesy & Kate on our all-new KIIS network, and Matt Tilley and Jane Hall for Breakfast on Melbourne’s new KIIS 101.1, reinforce this strategy.”

The rebrand will roll-out across Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide in January 2015 in line with all talent returning on-air for the new year.
