ARCHIBALD / WILLIAMS Appoints New Managing Director

Full service creative agency Archibald / Williams has appointed Chris Yong as managing director.

Yong has more than 13 years experience in Australia and the UK looking after some of the worlds most prestigious brands spanning most major categories, from FMCG to automotive to gaming.

Yong’s love of the work along with his collaborative approach has led to international award recognition for The National Lottery, Lion Nathan, Virgin Australia, Cadbury and the Pedestrian Council of Australia. Prior to joining A / W, Chris was with Clemenger BBDO for four years, and before that Saatchi & Saatchi.

Bram Williams, founder of the agency, said of the appointment, “The agency has been growing continuously over the past two years, we have recently moved to larger premises and with the appointment of several new staff we saw the need to bring in a managing director to help drive the agency through the next phase. I have worked with Chris in the past when we were both at Saatchi & Saatchi, and I know first hand what a great fit he will be, and Stu and I are delighted to have him join our team. We also have some exciting changes planned in the near future, including further executive appointments and upcoming client announcements.”

Yong added, “With strategy at the heart of ARCHIBALD / WILLIAMS, our business model is certainly compelling. Add to that Stuart and Bram being first class guys and you can see why my decision to join was a no brainer.”
