A document that was published for a short while on Apple’s website detailed the release of a dual USB-C which will provide users the opportunity to charge two of their devices simultaneously.

Based on further information which was brought to light by industry specialist Ming-Chi Kuo, the new charger will use the Gallium nitride technology which the 120W MacBook Pro charger uses to provide higher efficiency and lower charging times.

Kuo also goes on to reveal that Apple has already moved to mass production of its new charger, with over 3 million units expected to ship this year alone.

Predicted last month that a new charger of about 30W would come in 2022. Components are nearing mass production, and this year’s shipment estimation could reach 2-3M units.https://t.co/Xb2keIGYSQ

ChargerLAB also got their hands on an image of this new charger which appears to be much smaller than Apple’s current design, while packing a 35W capacity.

Additionally, in a true innovation for the industry, the charger will give users the opportunity to charge two of their devices at the same time.

Apple’s leaked document also revealed the new charger’s specifications. Based on the information that was revealed, the new gadget will support four different charging methods: 5VDC/3A or 9VDC/3A or 15VDC/2.33A or 20VDC/1.75A with a total output of 35W.

Having the ability to charge your iPhone’s battery by 50 percent in less than half an hour while also being able to charge a second device would most certainly prove to be a selling point in and of itself for this new charger.

However as always, it’s good to take this info with a grain of salt until it is confirmed via the official sources.

More information about this much requested device should be dropping soon, with Apple having already announced the date for their next major event (June 10.)
