Antony Catalano is shaking up The $1 billion plus real estate advertising industry following the launch of The Today Business (TTB).
TTB is a technology-focused marketing services company across advertising and real estate. It brings together executives across media, technology and property to enhance the marketing practices of the sector.
Leading the business are ex-Vizium MD Travis Day and ex-group director of Domain MediaSimon Kent.
Co-managing director Travis Day said: “The Today Business combines decades of media and property experience with our proprietary technology to take full advantage of today’s marketplace.
“We created Today because we believe there is a better way to manage, measure and align marketing efforts and business outcomes. Our approach is centered on accountable decision making for our customers and value creation for theirs.”
Co-managing director Simon Kent said: “After years of working with and listening to clients, we knew that there was a better way to maximise their marketing approach by measuring what is important and using smart technology to enable our customers to manage their investment and time for greater business outcomes.”
All industry participants – from property developers to residential agents – will benefit from technology that will allow for the streamlining and automation of low value tasks, transformation and connection of business systems and data, customer engagement solutions, all of which will enable better customer acquisition and retention.
Through the technology, vendors, agents and developers will be able to better optimise their media spend, rewarding those portals and other marketing channels for real-time performance overlaid with experienced consultancy services.

This is Catalano’s latest investment following his purchase of Nine’s regional papers for $115 million.
Other founding members of TTB include Trent Casson, former MD of Domain Victoria, Barrie Bowles and Paul Giorgilli, CTO.
TTB currently has five foundation clients, including Resimax Property Group, Caydon Property Group, Thirdi Group, Gibson Property Corporation and The Agency.
