Amy Schumer’s GQ Star Wars Threesome Lambasted By Fans

American comic and actress, Amy Schumer, has come under fire for posing as Princess Leia on the latest cover of men’s magazine GQ.

The cover and inside shoot – which also features robot know-it-all C-3PO and sidekick R2-D2 – was not given approval by Disney, which now owns the rights to the series having bought them from George Lucas for $US4 billion in 2013. The series of images have also been attacked by fans as inappropriate and a cheap cash in to the pending seventh instalment due in cinemas at Christmas.

An inside spread also shows the near-naked actress in bed with R2-D2 and C-3PO who is smoking a cigarette post-coital after what appears to be some sort of weirdy droid threesome. In another shot, the 34-year-old comic appears to be fellating a light sabre.

It may have upset some Star Wars fans, however the original Luke Skywalker – none other than Mark Hamill – has come out in support of the shoot tweeting his approval.

A reply on the official Star Wars Twitter replied: “Lucasfilm & Disney did not approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.”

Apparently, the magazine hasn’t breached any copyright laws in using both the Star Wars name and characters because it falls under parody.
