AMI Helps Marketers Gain A Seat In The Boardroom

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) has announced it has teamed up with two other organisations to provide programs that assist marketers in nabbing a board position.

According to a recent member survey by the institute, gaining a board position is the second most important career goal, so the AMI has partnered with the Australian Institute of Company Directors to deliver the Company Directors Course – a five-day program with optional assessment which is designed to cement directorship skills, knowledge, duties and responsibilities.

The AMI has also partnered with Board Direction to provide the Board Search Masterclass – a half-day workshop to help participants gain practical skills to shortcut the journey to a board appointment.

Lee Tonitto, chief executive of the AMI, said he is excited that the institute is able to offer marketers the skills and tools necessary to achieve their career goals.

“Boards are increasingly in search of marketers with authentic marketing skills, and it is rewarding to know that AMI will be assisting marketers to gain a seat at the board table.
