American burger chain Denny’s has offered Burger King a meaty olive branch with a proposal to partner with the chain on creating their own burger mashup.
Denny’s Diner is volunteering as tribute in these burger games to replace McDonalds, who flat out rejected Burger King’s McWhopper proposal in honour of Peace Day.
hey @burgerking how about a Slampper© or a Whammper© or a Whoppaslamus-rex© or something? pic.twitter.com/zWHXfgIPYV

hey @burgerking …or the Whoppaslam©? The Slopper©? The Slamopper©? wouldn’t that be whopperslamalicious?! https://t.co/t1FACtBhgv

On the day of the original stunt, Burger King was mentioned in 42 per cent more social media conversations than rival McDonald’s – calling BK’s bluff means that Denny’s could potentially win this burger race.
It looks like the proposal has been welcomed by Denny’s fans:
@DennysDiner @BurgerKing hahaha!!!! Looks delicious. Sorry @McDonaldsCorp Too slow on burger diplomacy!

@duczeminskyj @DennysDiner @BurgerKing this is the saddest corporate sponsored tweet thing I have ever seen. I am very sorry, intern :(

Burger King is yet to respond to the proposal.
