2021 Emmy Awards have announced the nominations for outstanding commercials and the six nominations spots have been filled with only four advertisers.

The four heavyweight advertisers are Amazon, Beats by Dre, Nike and Apple.

Agency Wieden+Kennedy worked on two of the commercials nominated, the agency worked with Beats by Dre and Nike. While production company Prettybird was behind the commercials for Amazon and Beats by Dre.

Interestingly, the outstanding commercials this year all focus on storytelling and don’t shy away from referencing current issues, particularly Beats by Dre.

It’s also worth noting that the commercial, You Love Me by Beats by Dre won the Grand Clio in Film at this year’s Clio Awards, However, the Emmy’s don’t always follow suit with Grand Clio’s pick.

Last year, ‘Back to school essentials’ by Sandy Hook Promise, took home the award.

The Emmy nominated commercials are:

Amazon: Alexis Body. Agency: Lucky Generals. Production Company: Hungry Man

Beats by Dr Dre: You Love Me.  Agency: Translation. Production Company: Prettybird
