Amaysim Partners With VICE Media On Telco’s First Content Series

amaysim has partnered with VICE to launch At Home with amaysim, an aptly named, variety show style, web series, available to stream on facebook.com/amaysim on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 6pm, from May 20.

At Home with amaysim aims to provide Aussies with useful entertainment that caters to their diverse range of interests while in turn supporting the Australian arts and hospitality industries, which have been hit the hardest during the Coronavirus restrictions.

“Over the February and March period amaysim saw a huge spike in data usage and content streaming as customers transitioned into working and learning from home. Data usage was up 30% and 36% respectively on previous months, and content streaming saw a 196% increase year-on-year. At Home with amaysim was created off the back of these insights”

“Much like the broader Australian population, amaysim has a diverse customer base with a range of unique interests, so we felt an old school variety show would be the best way to feed their hunger for content while also support the arts and hospitality industries which are suffering due to the Coronavirus restrictions,” said Renee Garner, Chief Marketing Officer, amaysim.

Streaming twice a week, for four weeks, At Home with amaysim hosts Donny Benét and Kymie will guide viewers through a series of segments ensuring they emerge from isolation with a few new skills, whilst providing much-needed comic relief and entertainment.

The series will be hosted from the living rooms of a rotating roster of well-known comedians, musicians, artists, chefs and fitness experts, as well as a sexologist, astronomist, botanical stylist, yoga expert and a nail artist, to name a few.

During the series Chef James Eddy from Melbourne’s Good Gnocchi will teach viewers how to make his delicious tomato gnocchi; Retrosweat’s Shannon Dooley leads some speedy home workouts; Sexologist Laura Miano provides much needed tips to navigating time at home with, or without, your significant other; and Crummies Sourdough School shows viewers how to nail the perfect loaf.

Other segments include flower arranging with XXFlos, a modern art lesson with Esther Olsson, cooking classes with Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca and performances from Aaron Goccs, Rainbow Chan, Merpireand much, much more.

At Home with amaysim is part of a string of new marketing initiatives from amaysim aimed at keeping customers connected and entertained during COVID-19.
