Alt/Shift has been appointed the PR agency of record for food delivery giant, Deliveroo Australia.

Following a competitive pitch of five agencies, Deliveroo engaged the agency to work with its internal communications team to bring to life bold, creative campaigns designed to cut through the on-demand food market.

In addition to delivering integrated creative campaigns, Alt/Shift will be responsible for developing an ongoing strategic newsroom function, which will play to the agency’s strengths in media relations, content, influencer and experiential.

Joe Satari, Head of Consumer Communications at Deliveroo Australia said, “We were impressed by Alt/Shift’s calibre of creative and strategic thinking. This, combined with their innate knowledge of the Sydney market and understanding of our brand made them the winning team.”

“As the food delivery industry grows and evolves, Deliveroo is committed to delivering a great foodie experience to Australians, and will continue to source the best restaurants and provide the best service to customers.”

General Manager of Alt/Shift Sydney, Andie Crawford said, “We’re thrilled to have been appointed as the public relations agency for Deliveroo – the brand is a fantastic addition to the Alt/Shift family. We’re looking forward to working with the Roo team on big, creative campaigns that are certain to shake up the online food delivery market.  Shifting the dial for a client is what we do best.”

Deliveroo joins Alt/Shift’s growing Sydney client list which includes the Queen Victoria Building, Whitley Neill Gin and project work for Virgin Australia. Alt/Shift’s national client list includes Crown Resorts, Mazda Australia, Lion Dairy and Drinks, Origin Energy and YMCA.

Since opening its doors in Melbourne in August 2016, Alt/Shift has grown from a team of six to 27 and opened a second office in Sydney in November 2018.
