Last Thursday, The Monkeys celebrated a massive milestone – a decade in the industry – and despite taking a big risk all those years ago, the agency is still going strong. And to celebrate they threw one hell of a party at their Surry Hills HQ, complete with an Adriano Zumbo dessert tower, performances by WAFIA and SUFUR, and plenty of tasty food and drink.
With a stack of accolades to their name, including B&T’s Independent Agency of the Year, the team at The Monkeys are renowned for crafting inspiring ideas and clever ads, as one of the trailblazers in the realm of independent agencies.
“We were dumb enough to think that it mattered and brave enough to give it a shot,” co-founder Mark Green said at their shindig last week.
The three co-founders, Justin Drape, Scott Nowell and Mark Green, each threw $10,000 into the start-up kitty, with the hopes of changing the way the ad industry operated. Starting out as Three Drunk Monkeys, it quickly morphed into the independent agency it is today.
Asked what was in store for the dream team, Justin Drape promised, “Another 10 years”.
So get your perve on and enjoy some of the hottest party snaps above and, of course, happy 10th birthday to The Monkeys.
